I am always looking for self-motivated and creative individuals with a B.S. or M.S. degree to join as Research Assistants, or Ph.D. holders to join as postdoctoral researchers. Applicants should have a strong interest in one or more of the lab’s focus areas, which include Radar Systems, Electronic Warfare (EW), Cybersecurity, Autonomous Unmanned Systems, and Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning applications across these domains.

Dr. AlQahtani is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering (Cybersecurity Track) and the Founding Director of the Defense Research Lab in partnership with a confidential governmental entity at Prince Sultan University. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor of Computer Systems Technology and the Founding Director of CyberNex at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro, NC, USA, where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses and supervised Master's and Ph.D. students.

Before that, he held positions as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and as an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Wisconsin-Extended Campus, WI, Green Bay, USA, where he taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in Computer Science and Cybersecurity.

Academically, Dr. AlQahtani holds a Ph.D. in Engineering - Cyberspace Engineering, an M.S.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, an M.S. in Computer & Information Science with a focus on Cybersecurity & Privacy, and a B.S. in Computer Science, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

His research focuses on advancing cybersecurity, particularly in the area of digital authentication. He develops innovative, zero-effort authentication methods that seamlessly integrate into the digital ecosystem, balancing enhanced security with user convenience. Moreover, his work includes threat identification and security analysis, targeting vulnerabilities both inside and outside organizational frameworks. Additionally, he explores the vast potential of the Internet of Things (IoT) and harnesses the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) across various fields.

Beyond the walls of the classroom and research labs, Dr. AlQahtani is an organized, innovative, and team-oriented individual who cherishes building connections. His hobbies encompass tinkering with electronics, playing soccer, swimming, jogging, and traveling to explore the world's wonders. With over 14 years of rich experience that spans industry, academia, research, and the military, Dr. AlQahtani's journey is a testament to his versatility and commitment.
