I am an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering (Cybersecurity Track) and the Founding Director of the Defense Research Lab (in partnership with a confidential governmental entity) at Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My work sits at the intersection of security, intelligence, and emerging technology.
My research centers on digital authentication — designing systems that are both rigorous and frictionless. I focus on zero-effort authentication, threat identification, and security analysis across internal and external attack surfaces. I also explore the security dimensions of the Internet of Things, and apply Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to solve real-world problems in different domains.
Before joining Prince Sultan University, I served as an Assistant Professor of Computer Systems Technology and founded CyberNex Research Lab at North Carolina A&T State University where I taught and supervised M.S. and Ph.D. students . Prior to that, I held faculty positions at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay and the University of Wisconsin–Extended Campus, where I taught both graduate and undergraduate courses.
Academically, I hold a Ph.D. in Cyberspace Engineering, an M.S.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, an M.S. in Computer and Information Science with a concentration in Cybersecurity and Privacy, and a B.S. in Computer Science — graduating Summa Cum Laude and all my degrees from USA.
Beyond research and teaching, I am driven by curiosity and connection. I tinker with electronics, follow the field closely, and believe that great research begins with great questions.
